by Johnson Asiedu on July 12, 2014 · No comments

The SDFA Boys U15 Coast League team were featured on Celtic Television, the official online internet channel for Champions League and Scottish League giants The Celtic Football Club of Glasgow. The featured video highlights the boy’s training at Celtic’s Barrowfield installations earlier this week, as well as an interview featuring Coach Johnson Asiedu speaking on the incredible opportunities Celtic FC is opening for the development of football in the United States. New tactics and ideas are being introduced into the United States through our partnership with the European giants. Saul Melchor, and Darrell Evans, among other players, were also featured explaining their overall European experience so far.

The experience has gone well. The boys defeated Finnart of Scotland 3-1 this week at the Celtic training grounds in preparation for the Gothia Youth World Cup in Sweden next week. The special SDFA feature on Celtic TV provides international exposure for the San Diego Football Academy, unlike any other available for most youth clubs here in the United States. San Diego Football Academy is truly revolutionizing football as we know it in North America. Watch the feature below:
